Many job seekers and those who are currently employed wonder about ways to cut down commuting back and forth to a job. Gas prices are very high and the cost of commuting, dealing with traffic jams and paying for parking fees. Being able to commute to a job several times a week instead of daily can easily ease stress and reduce the amount of time of their commute. Finding this type of job allowing for an employee to telecommute and not have to come into work daily is a bit difficult to find however these types of jobs are available but it takes time and effort to find them.
One of the first things to do is to make sure of the type of job allows for tele-work as not all jobs allow for tele-work. There are some jobs such as technical writer, software developer, or researcher allow for an employee to telecommute from home and work remotely. Look through job listings and see if the words “telecommute” or “remote work” is mentioned anywhere within the job listing or description of the job. However, it’s important to watch out for “work from home” scams. Watching out for scams will allow the job seeker to seek solid job offers and apply for the ones they are qualified for by tailoring their cover letter and resume to meet the requirements.
